AIN GlobalComm Co., Ltd. is
the first-ever private international telephone service provider
in Thailands telecommunication history. The company has
officially registered under the Ministry of Commerce in 2005 while
having been awarded its facility-based international telephone
service license from the National Telecommunications Commission
(NTC) regulatory body for Thai telecommunication industry in July
2006.
Starting from late 1990s, telecommunication industries in many
parts of the world have undergone the wave of evolutions in the
regulatory reforms. From the origin, the regulatory framework
of the world has gradually refrained from traditional monopolistic
competition to become more and more towards competition. As this
gradual change alters the reforms, it opens up new window of opportunity
for end users to experience alternate options of services. The
word Liberalization has also gradually diffused into modernized
world.
Thailand is no exception to this gradual change. The country
has begun its reform in telecom sector since 1997 where new Constitution
(at that time) introduced the formation of an independent regulator.
Two more legislations then came afterwards with the purposes of
establishing the regulatory body and portraying duties of regulator,
operators, as well as rights of end users. The regulatory body
called the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has been
established as the result of these changes. The NTC then started
to award new licenses to a number of services. International Telephone
Service is one of such services.
AIN therefore, without reluctance, seize the challenge of being
the first ever private applicant to apply for the facility-based
International Telephone Service License. Through hard works and
fearless efforts, AIN has finally been awarded its License in
July 2006.
With the aim to provide our customers with new options and better
alternatives, and to connect the world together, AIN
is committed to providing our customers with world-class boundless
connectivity.
